"Along the Border Trail,"
has become a rare collectors item. Poulsen signs and numbers each
of the 500 books in the exclusive limited edition, and each book
contains a different original colored oil sketch. Mike's father
and co-author began the book in 1938 when he started keeping journals
of his outdoor experiences. Chuck Poulsen created a humorous but
practical record of life on the trail and in hunting camps, filling
the pages with his own sketches, recipes, lists and wry observations.
The book also contains 18 full color
reproductions of Mike's original paintings, all with the associated
theme of pack trains and back county camping. Beautiful finished
in gold-embossed padded leather and sporting a sewn-in bookmark,
the Poulsen book will be a treasured part of any collection, yielding
years of pleasure for both reading and viewing.
